In May 2021, a Double Issue of the leading journal, Cultural Studies, which collects 31 insightful and punchy essays to examine a variety of critical concerns surrounding COVID from many parts of the world, has been published: Erni, John N. & Striphas, Ted (Special Issue Editors) (2021). Special issue on “The Cultural Politics of COVID-19,” Cultural Studies, 35(2-3). The essays were grouped to explore 3 major conjunctural politics of COVID: racialization; data/media/the popular; and perplexing epistemologies.
